HENLLANFALLTEG COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION was set up in 1995 (See a historic timeline here) to act as a local facilitator organisation to work in conjunction with Carmarthenshire County Council and the Welsh Office (as was) and other regeneration and funding agencies, to improve the life for the residents of the community. The Association is a registered charity.
With help from ACCT (the quango representing the Welsh Office) they undertook a survey and consultation that led to the construction of The Millennium Hall, with grant money from the National Lottery, Carmarthenshire County Council and Millennium Commission.
The Association’s current role includes operating and maintaining the Millennium Hall for the benefit of the residents, as well as supporting local groups and organisations, all in accord with the charities constitution. The Association organises various events for the benefit of our local residents and members, and well as facilitate on behalf of others. The Association runs and maintains the community web site and also publishes the Helgorn Taf Bugle, the local community newsletter in January, June and September. This is distributed free to all living in the community and just outside. Sponsors for the newsletter are always welcome, please contact the web master.
